The dress is made from a large rectangular fabric, folded into two then stitched together inches from the side edges. Like any other handmade batiks, there may be washable remaining wax, smearing and irregularity which add to its uniqueness.

Well made,pretty fabric and REAL cotton.Some sites advertise kaftans to be made of cotton but they are NOT,as I have discovered.My only gripe is that it is so big and unfortunately had to return.
